Saint John Airport, NB
As we were waiting in the airport for my departure we got quite silly. What a surprise.
In the end, my flight changed twice and I ended up on a direct flight back to Toronto. I waited an extra 2 hours, but arrived 2 hours earlier than expected.

This is over 6 weeks after dad's surgery and he looks great! Slightly fuzzy, but this time that's the camera's fault.

8 Hours after leaving the island and a major snow storm hits Saint John. Tell me, do I bring the weather with me??

Finally, great thick ice, at least a foot thick at most points.
Pulling my gear back to shore, as I start the transition back to life off the island.

As I was leaving the island, I saw cyclists on the ice by Long Beach. What a change a couple of weeks make.
Now there are ATV's, skiers, skidoos, and even cyclists on the ice when just days ago people were shocked that I would even consider walking on it.

My last morning I have to make sure my path tree is still solid and safe. Odd the things you bond with.

Oh - coming to see me. Mary Jo, Zara & Fin ("as in Finland") crossed the river for a quick visit before heading back for Piano lessons.
It was nice to get to visit with them before I leave the island.
But I certainly didn't expect anyone on a day as crumby as today.
